Legal Parties Taskforce
This Taskforce was initially formed to begin its examination of legal parties with Guardians ad Litem charged with representing the best interests of children involved in child welfare cases. The Taskforce thoroughly examined the role of the Guardian ad Litem in Nebraska and other states to create recommendations to the Judiciary Committee of the Legislature. Since submitting these recommendations, the Taskforce has continued working to elevate and professionalize the practice of law in the Juvenile Court and is in the process of creating presentations for court stakeholders on recent juvenile law practice related legislation.
